Stories told by finding stillness in movement.

Kim Majkut studied at Canada's Sheridan College and Emily Carr Institute, then relocated to the UK and built a two-decade career as a creative and art director in media, starting at Nickelodeon, and received two BAFTA nominations for art direction.

After years of shaping visual worlds for others, a move to Wiltshire and motherhood, followed by an MS diagnosis, brought her back to her own art.

Working under the name Kim Kidd, she began a healing analogue practice centred on drawing. "I built my fine art practice out of the need to document how I see and feel the world around me before it is fully taken away." She is drawn to understanding the female body and to finding stillness by combining drawing and movement. Her workshop, Mark Making: Movement & Drawing, run with a local dance practitioner, came from this need.

She is early in her fine art career, but her years of creative work have helped her relax into finally sharing her own story.
